How long does it take for my loved one's bills to get paid?

First National can pay most creditors within 2 business days and, in many cases, payment can be made within 24 hours. We will contact you if your payment will take longer than 2 days.

 

Can you pay into a bank account in the destination country?

Yes, we have a bank account deposit feature - you can either open a brand new account with one of our partners or we can pay into the bank account of your loved one. See our Deposits page for more information.

 

Can I collect in foreign currency?

No, at the moment all our bank partners pay out in local currency.

 

What are the minimum and maximum amounts I can send?

The minimum amount that can be sent to Ghana is $20. The maximum amount that we can send in one transaction is $10,000.

 

Can I pay with my credit or debit card?

Yes! Payment for your transaction is done on our secure server and we accept Paypal, credit cards, and debit cards. You can also call us at 1-877-DC-GHANA (1-877-334-4262).

 

Will there be a charge for the beneficiary to collect the funds?

No, there is no charge to the beneficiary and no extra or hidden charge apart from the fees that you pay when you make the deposit.

 

What are your opening hours?

You can contact us from Monday to Friday between 4am EST and 5pm EST.

 

How much does calling your telephone number cost?

Our 800 number is free. Normal long distance rates apply for our toll number.

 

What identification must the beneficiary present to collect transfered funds?

First National accepts Passports or Driver's Licenses as identification.

 

Do you have offices outside the USA?

We have offices in the United States and Ghana.
